NO ARMS, NO LEGS, SWIM THE CHANNEL!

This is just inspiring as all heck. Back in 1994, 42-year-old Philippe Croizon of Chatellerault, France was trying to fix a broken TV antennae. He brushed an overhead power line and had 20,000 volts of electricity run through his body. Philippe’s ended up having both arms and legs amputated…which makes his summer plans kinda surprising. He’s planning to swim the 22 miles across the English Channel.

For the last two years, he’s been training for more than four hours a day to get ready for his swim, saying, “At first my parents thought the idea was mad, but I was determined to carry on. The more I practice in the sea, the more I feel confident . . . This is a dream and I’m determined to fulfill it.”

Kudos to M. Croizon!
